3.0 Compatibility List For 3rd Party Apps

June 21, 2009 :: Posted by - SoSly :: Category - News

Our friend Dallasnights over at xsellize started this list originally from ispazio and started adding apps to this and now all of the members over there are helping report 3rd party apps that work and don’t work. You can also help by posting in the comments section which ones your having problems with and the ones that aren’t working at all.

Working (not complete):

Voipoverip3g

Semi Working so far

Winterboard some themes do not show up right yet
iBluetooth
MCleaner
Status Notifier
ibirthday
apt backup – it seemed to import my original sources but none of the packages, which i guess is probably a good thing forcing you to install things back one at a time for troubleshooting..
status notifier works but u cannot access the settings to make any changes at all.

Other Issues/Items noted by some

1) Cydia is slow to respond and missing ABC on the Search
2) Mobilesubrate causes Itunes Store not to work properly
3) Slow reboot after phone is turned off and turned on
4) SBS Setting Much faster

  1. nudel Says:

mobile substrate upgrade just appeared in cydia, so maybe that will address some things.

fontswap not working but replacing fonts manually works.

    hanging out for cyntact update!

  2. CurveBall Says:

How about WeatherIcon. I doesnt seem to work with me…

  3. idi Says:

    Scrobble isn't working too

  4. Dodswm Says:

Mcleaner blocks calls, but not SMS's and you cannot lock the app with a passcode.

  5. Amenoise Says:

    LiveClock don't work correctly.

  6. fozzie3ear Says:

    SMS2Mail not working also.

  7. Namiie Says:

for some reason biteSMS isn't working for me. version 3.2 from xsellize repo.
It would start for few seconds then crash.

  8. Slymik Says:

The bottom line is we should wait till most of the apps are compatible before we do an upgrade right?

by the way, does 3.0 fw perform tasks faster than 2.2.1 fw?

  9. SoSly Says:

yeah it doesn't work at all, if you buy bitesms officialy you can get the updated 4.0 version that runs smoothly on 3.0

  10. SoSly Says:

If you want you can wait, such as you use a lot of apps that aren't compatible yet. If you don't use most of those apps then go ahead it is entirely your decision, although I do miss my emulators.. Apps open up smoother in 3.0 and run a tad bit smoother other than all that no big improvements

  11. Ceg Says:

I would put ibluetooth into non working section because it crashes when sending Files or opening activity screen

  12. dhbg Says:

i just upgraded from 2.2.1 (custom) to 3.0 (official) and everything works just perfekt, all my files are still on my iphone (about 55 games and 500 songs) and programs like : veency, the weather icon, alle funktions of SB-Settings …. are working just fine! after the second Cydia Update my Iphone was the same as before…. now iam just waiting for Ultrasnow.

  13. Namiie Says:

It seems like things had gotten smoother in 3.0 even though they (Apple) added a bunch of new stuff into it. Good job to iPhone team for optimizing the code. Thanks Sosly for posting biteSMS 4.0. Now I'll just wait for biteSMS 4.0 to hit xsellize repo. (I sux at SSH, i felt that's too much work just to access my iphone + it's slow) I like using iphonebrowser to do all the transferrings.

  14. junior Says:

how do i change it manually?

  15. la la la Says:

yes 3.0 rocks.. everything loads fast and quicky

    no jams now
