Ripdev released icy which is a new cydia package manager. Icy still has some flaws and bugs in it but it looks promising. I warn you guys again to stick with cydia until ripdev upgrades icy. Below is a video brought to us by iphoneil.net on testing the speed or cydia and icy so lets so who gets beat to the punch!!

There's gotta be a reason why the iphone with cydia installed is running so slow. I have 4 iphones in this house that i tested. cydia loaded in 15-20 secs and reloaded the data. All in 15-20 seconds. That iphone that is shown took a solid minute. Somethings not right. I do say that ICY is very fast and seems easy to use. I guess im just a Cydia fan.
Your right i tested mine after the video was shown and mine took about 35 secs. I guess it depends on what all things you have installed on your iphone and maybe how many packages you have installed.. Anyhow im with you on this one, im a cydia fan.
but cydia has better updating capabilities and seems to install programs a bit better. I've had much more luck with cydia than icy.
