Apple Removes ‘Mac Doesn’t Get PC Viruses’ Statement From Website

Apple no longer states that ‘Mac Doesn’t Get PC Viruses’ on it’s website. Instead the statement has been changed to “It’s built to be safe.”

So does this mean Macs do indeed get viruses? Yes all computers are prone to a virus regardless the operating system. Up until last year OSX never really saw any big virus threats until the Flashback trojan infected over 650,000 Macs.

OSX is still considered the safest operating system when compared to Windows but Kaspersky founder and CEO Eugene Kaspersky still believes Apple is ‘ten years behind Microsoft in terms of security’.
