Carriers Already Testing, Next iPhone Will Use Nano-SIM

In preparation for Apple’s next generation iPhone Financial Times reports that carriers in Europe are already stockpiling Nano-SIM cards.

Apple’s new iPhone is rumored to go even smaller than the current micro sims in use and begin swapping over to Nano-Sim cards.

BGR Reports:

Multiple carrier sources have exclusively told BGR that Apple is supplying nano-SIM adapters so its carrier partners can test how nano-SIMs work on their networks in standard test devices before they are widely deployed when the new iPhone is introduced.

Why bother calling it a sim? Just make it a component.

This picture doesn’t correctly reflect the size of the actual nano sim. It’s slightly smaller than the current iPhone swim size.
