The newly released iPhone Dev Team pwnagetool is the only available tool at the moment that will jaibreak your AppleTv 2. Greenpois0n is being worked on to add AppleTv support but until then pwnagetool is the way to go if you want to jailbreak your little black box.
A lot of you are out of luck as pwnagetool is only available for Mac OSX but don’t worry windows users, TheSpot has your back.

You may also want to keep an eye out for Snowbreeze a custom iOS firmware creator for windows. Don’t forget that jailbreaking your AppleTv at the moment doesn’t add any new apps or function other than installing ssh for terminal commands and afc2 services so you can dig around the firmware.
