A lot of you don’t have a mac and thus you can’t use pwnagetool. Pwnagetool lets you create your own custom pre-jailbroken iOS 4.1 firmware while preserving your iPhone’s baseband.
The main benefit of a preserved baseband is that it lets you continue to use the dev teams ultrasn0w unlock. Below you will find custom firmware downloads for your all three different iphones.

Wha do u mean by you need an official sim? Like an AT&T sim?
Yeah you need an official sim card from any provider that uses the iPhone. Meaning here in the us you need AT&T card. I’ll put up a activated one later

No, it doesn't need to already be jailbroken. This custom firmware is already jailbroken and has Cydia with it.

I have an Iphone 4 ios 4.1 jailbreaked with greenp0isen, but it’s simlocked to my provider. Will this activate/unlock so I can use any sim? My baseband is 02.10.04

It's not working for me. I'm trying to do it on my gf iphone 3g 3.1.2 to 4.1 and I keep getting the 1600 or 1603 or something like that error.. plz help!

You guys either must do a dfu restore or a regular restore. It depends on if your already jailbroken, if so a regular restore should work. if you’ve never been jailbroken than a dfu restore is needed
Try to look up solutions to error 1600, a good tool to use is ireb which fixes those erros. Also make sure your doing a dfu restore, if not you can just restore like normal through itunes no need for dfu if you've already been jailbroken.
Sly any legit custom appletv2 firmware links? Nee guide for jailbreaking itv2 for windows.. Dont have pawnagetool

Yes you can use this without spirit to pwn. Just dfu restore to this firmware.
