Video: Major Security Flaw Found In iOS Code Signing

Charlie Miller a well known hacker has discovered a major security flaw in Apple’s iOS code signing. The exploit allows a malicious hacker to take complete control of your iOS device including stealing your pictures, address book, and even making your vibrate.

The hack involves publishing an app store app with embedded malware. When first launched the malicious app connects to a server sending your devices information and also allowing custom commands to be sent to your device.

After a few hours of showing off the exploit Charlie Miller was kicked out of Apple’s iOS developer program, he recently tweeted:

OMG, Apple just kicked me out of the iOS Developer program. That’s so rude!

First they give researcher’s access to developer programs, (although I paid for mine) then they kick them out.. for doing research. Me angry

dunno, letter of termination. Sounds permenant. feels heavy handed, I miss Steve.
