With the release of the untethered iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak, millions of us around the world got straight onto the the latest firmware with access to Cydia and all the tweaks we love.  However, most users who tried to re-run a jailbreak over an existing one found that they lost app/tweak function for those that required MobileSubstrate in order to work and needed to reinstall it each jailbreak.

The Dev-Team has now released Redsn0w o.9.10b3 that doesn’t interfere with MobileSubstrate when re-running your jailbreak.

“The b3 version of redsn0w fixes a problem where re-running redsn0w over an existing jailbreak would cause MobileSubstrate-based apps to stop running until MS was installed again. Now you can re-run the redsn0w jailbreak step without worrying about that (but still remember to de-select the “Install Cydia” option if it’s already installed).
