Supposed iPad Mini Molds Leak

GottaBeMobile who recently leaked the metal iPhone 5 engineering samples has went ahead and put up images of purported iPad mini moldings.

The mold shows off a new dock connector and is thinner than the current generation iPad. Rumors of an iPad mini coming this fall have been the main subject for the past couple of weeks, as usual we play the waiting game.

The iPad mini is reported to have a screen display of 7.85-inches and feature an IGZO display.

Photos of the iPad Mini engineering sample come from a trusted source inside the Apple supply chain, who also provided exclusive iPhone 5 engineering sample photos, which are more detailed.

The early design sample in the below photos is a plastic mold that may be used to hone the production process and test accessories. This would be the first significant update to the iPad design since Apple introduced it in 2010.
