The End of Install0us

January 25, 2010 :: Posted by - SoSly :: Category - News

Yes, you read well, this is the end. The end of Install0us.
Most of you would not appreciate what follows, just as we definitely do not, yet some of you will be strangely happy…

Why is this happening?
Legalities. When I started up solo, it was for legal reasons, and that still stands: I was fed up of hiding behind other people and wanted the freedom to develop apps without being in the shadows of the law.

That was not appreciated by everybody…but anyway, that is another topic. During all this time I have been actively searching for a lawyer to know how legal we were. Not the lawyer you can find just anywhere, but one that understands Internet legislations and specializes in copyright laws. Read more…

PhoneView: An inside look at your iPhone data

October 16, 2009 :: Posted by - SoSly :: Category - News

Some time ago, I looked around for a way to access my iPhone to use it as a portable hard drive, almost like a generic USB device, for copying files back and forth between computers. I decided on PhoneView. At the time I didn’t even care too much about the other features it offered. As time has passed, I’ve liked it even better and better. Read more…

Showtime’s Dexter Hits The Appstore

September 14, 2009 :: Posted by - SoSly :: Category - News

After having been in the works for over a year, the Dexter iPhone game has finally arrived in the App Store [$5.99].

In the game, help Dexter choose his next victims while always protecting his identity. Analyze crime scenes, uncover evidence and use stealth tactics to stalk your prey. Is the case best served by the courts or the Dark Passenger? The outcome of every choice and action revolves around the Code of Harry: only kill the guilty, maintain the mask, and above all, don’t get caught!

We’ve had hands on time with early versions of the game at GDC and E3. The game has been notable for its impressive 3D engine. This gameplay video is from a build back in March, so aspects of the game may have changed from that time, but it gives you an idea of the feel of the game:
