In App Purchase
Allow users to purchase content or services from your application using the Store Kit framework. This new framework handles the financial aspects of the transaction, processes payment with the iTunes Store, and provides your application with information about the purchase.
Apple Push Notification service
The Apple Push Notification service provides a way to alert your users of new information, even when your application isn’t running. Send text notifications, trigger audible alerts, or add a numbered badge to your application icon.
Accessories
Using the new External Accessory framework, your application can now communicate with “Made for iPod” hardware accessories attached to iPhone or iPod touch through either the 30-pin dock connector or wirelessly using Bluetooth.
Peer to Peer Connectivity
Add multi-player capabilities to your games using the peer to peer network connectivity and in game voice communication features of Game Kit. This powerful new framework allows any application, not just games, to communicate between devices using Bluetooth-no pairing required.
Maps
You can now embed maps within your applications using the new Map Kit framework. Map Kit works with the Google Mobile Maps Service and features panning and zooming, custom annotations, current location and geocoding.
iPod Library Access
Access music, podcasts, or audio books in a user’s iPod library directly from your application using the updated Media Player framework. You can play, repeat and shuffle songs or whole playlists, or create sequences of songs using custom searches.

Fix for swirly
i know why people why getting errors. its cuz when u use terminal…DONT type “—–dpkg -i mms.deb mmslang.deb” in the command. this is what u should be typin in command “dpkg -i mms.deb mmslang.deb ” an there u go..no errors. once process finishes executing, it tells u to reboot. so close terminal an reboot. i use boss prefs to reboot. an after reboot most of u have trouble getting swirly to show up on home screen. to fix that issue. use bosspref people, its very useful. go to it an see if swirly its hidden or not. if it is turn it ON switch to unhide icon an respring ur iphone.
very important—–where ever u add those two files make sure u go to that folder before u use terminal. or else it wont work.
Whats the cd i.e. mean?
and the command?
cd means “current directory” so go to the folder where u place the two files before u use terminal to execute the files*****
command- “dpkg -i mms.deb mmslang.deb” there u have it.
So again this is how you install it and it is for advanced users.
1. uninstall Swirly using Cydia or by issuing: apt-get remove com.swirlyspace.mms
2. delete /Applications/SwirlyMMS.app and /var/root/Library/MMSApp folders by:
rm -R /Applications/SwirlyMMS.app (or ssh and find the folder to delete)
rm -R /var/root/Library/MMSApp (or ssh and find the folder to delete)
3. copy mms.deb and mmslang.deb to your iphone (to i.e. /var/root/… folder) or where you want.
4. go to the folder /var/root (where you copied the mms.deb and mmslang.deb files) using cd i.e. cd /var/root
5. and type this command—–dpkg -i mms.deb mmslang.deb
6. Wait till it installs there should be NO ERRORS!
7. Issue:reboot
8. After reboot run SwirlyMMS
9. You have to actually “fetch a license” and it will become “Full License Valid”
Download the files you need ***HERE***
After doing all of this and you get errors do the fix above and let me know if that fixes it.

Well it’s that time again too get more software goody upgrades from our love/hate relationship with Apple. There has been a lot of buzz going around about all of the features that are going to be included such as mms, video recording, app backgrounding but none of those will be in the update. As you guys know the ipod touch 2g has been completely jailbroken and by saying that I mean you can successfully jailbreak it now and not have to tether it to a computer every time you turn your ipod on. Anyhow I was reading up on some info from the dev team blog when I came across this link **HERE** it gives a damn good explanation on how a “hybrid” team, in alphabetical order: chronic, CPICH, ius, MuscleNerd, planetbeing, pod2g, posixninja, et al. (anyone wishing to be unnamed) successfully figured out the exploit of what Could have been the exploit of the next generation iphone’s and ipod’s. With that being said this is a direct quote from the site saying how nitrokey may have ruined it for all of us when it comes to jailbreaking the new Apple products.
“Timing Impact
This exploit would have allowed the pwnage of the next generation iPhone without the discovery of an additional code execution vulnerability (required to write the exploit LLB), provided that the bug still existed in the next generation’s bootrom. Even if it is too late to fix the bootrom now, it is not too late for Apple to fix the restore process in the initial shipping ipsw so that we have no way to get the exploitive LLB onto the device. Before, Apple would have no reason to fix this, since writing arbitrary data to NOR does not negate their chain of trust. However, now that a way has been found, they now can prioritize a fix for this oversight.
Thanks to irresponsible handling of the exploit by a third-party, this eventuality is a near-certainty and erased the possibility of the next generation iPhone from being jailbroken right off the bat. May they burn in hell. “

The iPhone version of Konami’s popular “MGS” series now has an official release date of March 19 and a price: $9.99.
As a high-profile “shooter” making its way onto Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch, there’s been some hype surrounding Metal Gear Solid Touch. However, due to its rail-shooter nature gaming blog Kotaku has been mocking it for being nothing more than a fancy version of Duck Hunt. Ouch.
That’s said, what’s not to like about a good rail-shooter–and Duck Hunt, for that matter?

Wired revives rumors of a “premium” App Store dedicated to applications for the iPhone and iPod touch priced at $20 or more. The move could provide a means for more sophisticated apps to be featured and protected from the downward pricing pressure seen in the App Store.
We’re hearing rumors that Apple could introduce a “premium” section in the store, in order to sell more expensive third-party programs. The premium section would largely be focused on games, giving game makers a channel to offer more in-depth (and pricier) titles without getting lost in the clutter of free and $1 apps.
Wired also speculates that a “premium” store could be popular with business-oriented software companies.
This “velvet rope” section of Apple’s store could feature software programs that cost $20 or more, making it friendlier to publishers whose products are too complicated to be created in one developer’s spare time. That change would make the App Store more friendly to game publishers, as well as enterprise software companies such as SAP that would otherwise prefer to focus on the more business-user targeted BlackBerry phones.
PocketGamer.biz reported on similar rumors in late January. While PocketGamer.biz had no information on a possible release date for the new App Store, they speculated that Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference this summer would be an obvious opportunity, but that a special games-focused media event could also be a possibility. Apple’s iPhone OS 3.0 media event scheduled for next Tuesday provides yet another opportunity for such an announcement.
