anyone know why pdanet keeps asking me to reboot everytime i launch it????

I’m getting the same issue Juice. 1.51 worked flawlessly, but after upgrading, it won’t work at all. All I get is a message that says “PDANet WiFi Router need to be initialized first. Please restart your iPhone.” (bad grammar left intact)
Restarting, respringing, etc, does nothing.

have you tried uninstalling it and sshing into your phone and deleting anything that is left behind and then retry again

Doesn't work. It asks me to reboot each time I open it. I changed the permissions for the /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.jp.plist (or whatever it's called), rebooted, did a respring, and it still doesn't work.
I'm just gonna use the 14-day trial. When it runs out, uninstall>install.

I got this to work without sshing in. I used DiskAid to copy the file to the phone.
1.create a folder /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall
2.Put in folder /AutoInstall
3.Reboot AND Respringe to fail after using PdaNet.

Ok! I figured it out. For some reason, the launch daemon for the cracked PdaNet doesn’t load properly for me, which is why PdaNet keeps telling me to reboot.
So, I took the executable file from the cracked PdaNet package (this same exact thing is available on the Xsellize repo), put it in a different folder, uninstalled the cracked PdaNet, installed the regular trial version of PdaNet, copied back over the cracked executable, and it works. It says I’m registered.
You can also remove the stupid splash screen by deleting the Default.png file.
Again, you can download PdaNet 1.52 cracked from the Xsellize repo.

When I tried to use PDANet it that I install via Cydia (from Xsellize) it keeps telling me: "PDANet Wifi need to be initialized first. Please restart your Iphone. After I restart nothing change…..What should I do to make this work? Thank you….

Was having difficulty getting this working too. Got it to work by uninstalling PDANet. Reinstalling it. Importantly didnt use the xsellize one, used the other one in cydia. Used cyberduck to create the AutoInstall folder. Dropped in the deb file to this folder. Rebooted then resprung using SBSettings. Works perfecty afain. Thanks to the original poster of the solution…

I had the same issue as well. As suggested by DrAIR, I uninstalled the pdanet from xsellize and installed the other version and it's working for me now.

ok i have tried just about every method of getting PdaNet 1.52 cracked to register but it just wont.
I can get the cracked version to load properly without telling me to restart my iphone every time but when i go to register it, i type in a random email, it auto fills the serial # with PDANETAPPL-, then registration FAILED!! agin and again. has anyone been able to register? this is very frustrating so any help is appreciated greatly!
p.s. i couldnt get the terminal command to work, i typed in the command and it just stops at setting up com.jf.pn… (dont remeber exactly) so i used the autoinstall method, even changed permissions of .deb file to 0755 but still registration failed

The "clubifone.org/repo" repository has a working hack version 1.52. No need to tinker around with root files, SSH, or add any emails. Just add the repository in Cydia and look for PdaNet . The repository is in Spanish but the PdaNet app is in English. Just download PdaNet and it will work. Enjoy!!!

Thanks Vudoo…worked like a charm. Had same problems as others. Uninstalled previous PDANet program using Manage in Cydia. Added the clubifone.org/repo & fresh installed. Worked on first load, went to register added fake e-mail ([email protected] or whaterver….), and clicked submit.
