For those of you that don’t know the RamDisk Encryption is the only thing stopping all of the coders/hackers of having access to the filesystem of the iPhone 3GS .ipsw firmware, so when somone cracks that code and gets the vfddecrypt key we will be able to see whats all in the 3GS firmware. With that being said once that happens our fellow hackers will be able to view all of the software that the 3gs has hence maybe being able to see that code and port it to our 3g and 2g iphones so we can have all of the 3gs features such as video recording/editing and voice control. Thats a big maybe though.

my 3GS currently over the atlantic ocean comming from NY to South Africa was a risky purchase considering there was no j/b or unlock yet. I figured GeoHot and the boys would do their thing and was betting on it! Seems as though the exploit and the final j/b and unlocking is going to be here sooner than later. I would be bummed if they can somehow transfer voicecontrol and other features onto the 3g becuase then i feel like a sucker for buying the new GS but will keep it nonetheless

Yea thats crazy good luck on getting that phone working over there. Hopefully the jailbreak and the unlock come soon so I can buy me a 3gs
