gpSPhone 6.0.1 for 3.0
I must say that this runs beautifully on the iPhone 3G S, this is the deal breaker

Links removed as I do realize that zodttd works hard and has given us so much more on our iphones, he is one of the reasons we jailbreak. Everyone if you like the app then go buy it and if you can’t even do that as some people are cheap then donate a dollar or two. Im sorry if this makes some of my readers mad but I like to think of myself as a respectable person, especially if the man comes and comments on my site.
Note: You have to ssh into your iphone or use diskaid and such to do this.
Easy way to install this deb:
* go to var/root/media/Cydia/
* make a folder names AutoInstall so for example you would see var/root/media/Cydia/AutoInstall
* after making that folder drop the deb file in that autoinstall folder and reboot your iphone
* Enjoy gpSPhone 6.0.1
Terminal Commands To Install Deb:
* Copy the downloaded deb to var/mobile/ and set its permissions to 777
* Open Mobile Terminal which you can download from cydia and follow these commands
* type in without the stars ***su*** then push return
* you will see password so type in without the stars ***alpine*** then push return
* Now that your logged in you should see that terminal reads your in var/mobile directory
* Type this in exactly dpkg -i com.zodttd.gpsphone_6.0.1_iphoneos-arm.deb
* push return and it should have installed so just respring or reboot and your done.
Hint: You may also change the deb file name to gpshone3.0 and then copy it to your phone and install it so you don’t have to type in that long deb file name.
Enjoy a great emulator with no ads better perfermance and better yet, it works on 3.

These instructions don't work, the autoinstall crashed the SpringBoard, and the manual install looked like it worked but there's no gpsphone icon.

I'm charging $6 for the app so the developer of it and I can make a living, eat dinner, and live happily.

Its a shame considering you accepted donations from many people including me and now ask us to pay again for an "update" which contains no improvements. As a beta tester I have donated more than $10 all of which was so I could use gpsphone, and now you ask for another $6. Your right this is a sad moment, for those who trusted you enough to donate to your projects.
Those who have donated in the past should be given amnesty end of story.

“I am automatically honoring all previous donators…” that’s bullshit because I donated for 5.5 and now it says no information on file… And for the record, I would cough up $20 for this app if I actually knew for sure it would work. I was disappointed with the performance of 5.5 and am incredibly hesitant to purchase 6.0.1 because I have no guarantee of it’s performance… Price is not an issue, honesty and transparency is.

I really don't understand how people can be upset at Zod for charging a measly $6.00 when he has provided a free application (and free updates) for such a long time.
I've spent much more than that in the iTunes App store (Doom Resurrection, and many other $4.99 games) and haven't gotten as much enjoyment as I have with gpsphone.
I really, really hope that this doesn't get pirated.
I for one really appreciate the work that Zod is doing and am glad to see him get reimbursed a little for his work. Without him we would have NO EMULATORS for the iPhone.

To ZodTTD: where's the source code, as required by GPL? Since gpSPhone is a derivative of gPSP which is under GPL, you MUST make the source code available and CANNOT prevent this kind of distribution … otherwise it's a GPL violation and we'll deal with it accordingly.

When you say the developer do you mean Exophase, because if not I'm going to completley disagree with you….. And you don't see any developers for the PSP charging for their work. It's like the iPhone is a complete commercial cash cow. I don't even understand the hypocrites either, we all pirate so many apps from developers (not including you zodttd cause I have no idea if you do or don't) and then we say we can't pirate his app out of respect? No offense you want to support one, support them all.
I will support though none the less because I agree there is a lot of effort that goes into something like this, I'm just mainly concerned if Exophase is getting any of this.

6.0.5 version would be nice. I can't even install 5.0.0 manually, and I'm running fw2.2.1 so 6.0.1 doesn't work. If I knew zod would pull a stunt like this, I'd never have uninstalled 5.5.0
(speaking of 5.5.0, anyone got a deb for that?)

why does he not just keep a free copy available of the older free version in cydia while allowing people to upgrade or wateva if they donate. wat if i accidentally delete gpsphone or have to restore iphone/ipod? , AND what if ppl are to young to have paypal or whatever u need to donate, i wouldnt mind donating personally, but i am a couple years too young atm. :p

I agree that keeping this app un-pirated by Zod's request is incredibly hypocritical. Hypocritical of both the "respectful" pirates and the developer. Essentially Zod's saying it's cool to download hundreds of dollars of software that had years of work put into them for free as long as you pay me $5.99 to do it.

Zod if you are still reading this, I want you to know that now that this is a commercial package I and all of us gpSPhone users will be expecting much more from this app. While it was wonderful as a free app, as soon as you start charging we stop being nice. We will expect FULL cheat support, compatibility with ALL roms, and Complete stability, if you can’t give us this, then stop charging for the app, put adds in it or something.

Seeing as the developer surely hadn't licensed this software to begin with, as those who charge for applications are well within their rights and legally allowed to make use of, Zod has failed on every conceivable level to meet the standards to which legitimate " software developers" hold themselves to. His change in stance is both absurd and incredibly hypocritical. Next time he has a chat with Nintendo concerning a joint venture i MIGHT consider purchasing this "legally" downloaded and paid for application. Until that point, he has no business charging or giving an attitude to those who do not like him charging for material that he's stolen in the first place.

LoL @ DRM. Then nobody (ok, 1 person) will purchase it. Everyone else will get the DRM free version. Seriously, if Apple can't control their apps, songs, phone, with DRM what makes you think you can?? DRM will only penalize those who actually intend to buy it from you, but you know that right?
