c4syncapp: The Next Level In iPhone Cracking
Reilly the person who has put out appsync that lets you use cracked ipa files on your iPhone has created a new cracked mobileinstallation patch. Below is what Reilly had to say:
” You probably already know that my first installd patch is floating around the net (also known as AppSync 
)
But I have something better: a patched installd file which doesn’t need ANY changes to the info.plist.
What does that mean:
It means there is no SignerIdentity needed anymore 
So all checks developers do to the info.plist will fail as long as we have the original info.plist.
Where is the problem:
1. this only works on OS 3.0, not 2.x. so people with 2.x will still have to have signerIdentity in the info.plist :/
2. all the cracking tools are currently modifying the info.plist, so to get it working we need to get the original one too (meaning with the original creation date, modification date, in binary format and the right size)
Why I’m releasing this:
Cause I wanna see this in the public. It’s time we take iPhone cracking to the next level and this is the next level: reducing the options of developers to test if an app has been pirated or not.
How to install:
1.install the deb from xsellize repo
2. install any legal app from the AppStore (free or payed; if you have already apps installed you don’t have to do step 2)
Keep in mind: if you crack apps do also attach the original info.plist (it doesn’t contain any personal data), so people will be able to use the features of this little hack

PS: this one has been tested by many people and is stable
PS2: if you are using AppSync you can uninstall it, but you don’t have too
many developers check if an app has been cracked by searching for changes to the info.plist. a key named “SignerIdentity” has to be usually added to the info.plist so cracked apps can be installed. this patch removes this dependency so the key is not needed to install cracked apps
as by now all cracked apps have a manipulated info.plist. so for now the “only” use of this hack is so you can remove
