cpich3g a member of the dev team has uploaded some screenshots showing us that the one and only dev team has done it once again. The screenshots below you will see an iphone 3GS running firmware 3.1 but the modem firmware hasn’t been updated as it is running an older 3.0 baseband which is great for you ultrasn0w unlock users.

It is amazing news.. They already have the jailbreak they just aren’t releasing it until there is a firmware worth upgrading for… I must say they are playing it very very smart

I don’t have a problem staying on FW 3.0.1 for the time being. I mean is 3.1 really all that? I’ve read some bad things like that coma mode for example. I’ll stick with 3.0.1. It not only works but works well. My 3GS ain’t crying for an upgrade anyway. Still, the Dev Team kicks major ass for their accomplishment!

but the modem firmware is 4.26 the 3gs comes stock with the 5.11 no not well done they have alot of work to do

Thanks Dev team for all of your hard work on the IPhone. I will wait for your update video for 3.1 3GS jailbreak.
