CategoriesSB 1.0 Cracked
Integrate Categories into SpringBoard
Normally, categories created with Categories.app are loaded as separate applications; CategoriesSB loads them directly within SpringBoard, meaning that they load much faster (without having to keep them running in the background).
Usage:
- Create categories via Categories.app. Tap on category icon to open. Press Home button to close.
Benefits:
- Faster loading without requiring backgrounding
- Support for icon badges
- Support for tracking recently-used applications (see “Bonus” below)
Limitations:
- Adding/removing/rearranging applications
must be done via Categories.app
- Does not currently support web clips.
- Does not currently include configurable options; options will be integrated into Categories.app.
Future features:
- Option to disable background image
- A current workaround is to use an background image with alpha set to zero. – Option to hide titlebar
Bonus:
- CategoriesSB includes a method for keeping track of recently-used applications. Create an empty category called “Recent” via Categories.app. This category will always contain the 16 most recently launched applications.
Download:

Note: You must have categories installed for this to work.
- Rename downloaded deb to catsb.deb
- Copy to var/mobile on your iphone
- Open up mobile terminal and do the following
- Type in su (press return)
- Type in alpine (press return)
- Type in dpkg -i catsb.deb (press return)
- Reboot or respring and enjoy
Thanks to iPhonix at xsellize for the upload.

Congratulations on the crack… except there was nothing *to* crack, as I didn’t implement any anti-piracy measures.
“CategoriesSB 1.0 Uploaded” would be a more appropriate title

I would, of course, appreciate it if you would remove CategoriesSB from your site, and not post any future versions (a request that you say you will honor in your disclaimer). I know people will just find other places to steal it from, but still…
I’ve worked my a.. quite hard to bring free, open-sourced software to the jailbreak scene (Backgrounder, Kirikae, SpringJumps, MultiIconMover, etc.). Can’t I be allowed to ask for the price of a candy bar for one of my offerings?

I can’t realistically see a functional difference between categories and the SB version. The nonSB version crashed my springboard and I had to reboot and the phone was stuck in reboot hell. Used iTunes to break out of hell and d*** thing updated phone to 3.1.3 from 3.1.2 without authorization. lost JB foronths. Rejailbroke when Spirit cam out, reloaded all JB apps. Updated categories to SB version and not only do I see no difference functionlly, I have d*** duplicate entries inside it. I can’t fix or delete them. I tried putting them in a hidden folder, but that is not a fix that is ignoring the elephant in the room.
