Multiflow For The iPhone Coming Soon
November 21, 2009 :: Posted by - SoSly :: Category - News
Multiflow is an app that will let you background apps and switch between them like the palm pre’s smooth scrolling os system. It is said that it may be released as soon as tomorrow. As you can see in the video below this runs pretty smooth on an iphone 3g so I can imagine you will have a pleasant experience with this app no matter which generation iphone you have. As of right now there are no details on whether this will be a free or a paid but I will update you guys as soon as any info is made public. You can check out the apps website over at http://www.multifl0w.com/ and follow the dev for up to date news http://twitter.com/aaronash.

Although this is incredibly cool, the input options for the iphone make this a bit untenable, also the memory sitation. YOu can see most of the apps that were switched between were incredibly simple, like the clock.
I doubt they are keeping the rest of the apps in memory, it more looks like it has screenshots of each app and with good programming and quick loading makes it look like it is switching apps.

A much less pretty version of this app already exists. Kirikae. http://www.installerapps.com/2009/09/07/kirikae/
Made by the same person that made backgrounder. It’s on cydia.
I constantly have 2-3 backgrounded apps at a time. Battery life is reduced, but I’d bet I could have all my main apps open at once and my 3GS would run fine.
