After downloading the deb do the following.

  • Rename the .deb to ob.deb
  • Copy the deb to var/mobile on your iphone
  • Open up mobile terminal and do the following
  • Type in su (press return)
  • Type in alpine or your changed password (press return)
  • Type dpkg -i ob.deb
  • Respring or reboot and enjoy

Multiflow For The iPhone Coming Soon

Multiflow is an app that will let you background apps and switch between them like the palm pre’s smooth scrolling os system. It is said that it may be released as soon as tomorrow. As you can see in the video below this runs pretty smooth on an iphone 3g so I can imagine you will have a pleasant experience with this app no matter which generation iphone you have. As of right now there are no details on whether this will be a free or a paid but I will update you guys as soon as any info is made public. Today MediaPhone SA are release new application for the iPhone and iPod Touch – SmartScreen. In late September we’ve announcement the SmartScreen via YouTube video.

Both versions are available in our Cydia repository: apt.media-phone.ch

SmartScreen an application for the iPhone and iPod touch that will allow informational widgets to be placed and used on the lock screen. Widgets are similar to those offered by Apple’s “Dashboard” and they follow familiar look and feel.

TomTom To Release iPod Touch GPS car kit

In conjunction with its newly updated App Store software, TomTom announced it will release a car kit that will bring GPS functionality specifically to the iPod touch.

The new TomTom car kit for iPod touch is compatible with both the first- and second-generation iPod touch, and requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later. The hardware will be “available shortly,” the company announced this week.

Apple’s App Store Approval Getting Automated??

Apple has added a new automated layer to its approval process for App Store software, but according to one developer, it’s not perfect.

Apple recently began using computers to automatically scan for the use of private application programming interfaces. The new automated scan does not change any of the rules Apple has had in place for the App Store: Private APIs have always been banned from use in iPhone software. But according to Gizmodo, the rule was not entirely enforced, because it can be difficult to determine when an API falls within the rules and when it does not.

Super Monkey Ball 2 for iPhone Coming Soon

SEGA has submitted Super Monkey Ball 2, a much improved sequel to the popular iPhone game, to the App Store for approval.

According to IGN, SEGA teamed up with Other Ocean to work on the project. One of the main goals was to improve accelerometer based control which was a major complaint in the first version.

Wizdaz, one of the iPhone DevTeam members is going to release the SmartScreen application that will allow widgets to be placed on your iphone lockscreen tomorrow. You will be able to have your calendar, stocks, weather, news, twitter and multiple other things running on your iphone’s lockscreen. It is said that there will be a lite version of this app that will let you run three widgets for free on your lockscreen but if you want to run more you will have to pay.
