Burglars in Antwerp make off with $3 million worth of smartphones

Over the weekend, someone used a fire ladder to climb to the roof of a huge warehouse in Willebroek, a Dutch-speaking municipality in the Belgian province of Antwerp, cut a hole in the roof, and made off with 3,000 to 4,000 brand new Apple (AAPL) iPhones, according to reports in the Belgian press.

Apple To Release iPhone App

Apple plans to release a new “Concierge” application for the iPhone and iPod touch that will allow customers to schedule appointments at retail stores, AppleInsider has been told.

According to a source that has proven reliable in the past, the App Store software will allow anyone to view memberships and make appointments for services at retail stores, like the Genius Bar or One to One. No release date or the alleged application was provided.

The information on the potential new iPhone application was corroborated Monday in a separate report from MacRumors.

It doesn’t happen so much anymore, but not too long ago you’d hear about a new offering arriving in the App Store that would stir up a little controversy (the NetShare tethering app springs to mind). They’d enjoy some fanfare and a ton of purchases for a few days before being summarily removed, never to return and often without a thorough explanation from Apple. A relatively small number of users would retain possession of the app and would take a bit of pride in knowing that they were in the right place at just the right time to snag a copy of the app before it was yanked.

I was never really a big fan of call of duty world at war but I must say that nazi zombies is very entertaining and fun when you have a group of friends around. To my surprise nazi zombies has made it to the iPhone and I had to buy it. Yeah you read it right, Nazi Zombies on your iphone with multiplayer. The only set back of the game is that it is hard to control with the iphone’s touch screen so you probably won’t be making it very far and if you do mad respect to you.

OnLive, the Internet-based interactive streaming service hyped as “the future of video games,” is also capable of running on mobile devices such as Apple’s iPhone, the company has claimed.

At the Wedbush financial conference in New York, OnLive CEO Steve Perlman demonstrated his company’s game streaming service simultaneously on two iPhones. Perlman detailed the event on his company’s official blog.

iKee Worm Creator Interview

As you guys may know there has been a lot of talk about this worm going around for people over in Australia. This worm changes your iphone’s wallpaper if using winterboard. The one on the left is the image that is used as a wallpaper/background and the one on the right is the image that is used when your on a phone call.

The only way your iphone can be infected is if you have open ssh installed and you haven’t changed your default ssh password. To sum it all up this is how it got spread, you can also read more to see the full interview on the creator and his thoughts

  • Worm creator connects to wireless network with infected iphone
  • You or someone else connects to same wireless network and you have openssh installed and default pass
  • The worm gets into your iphone from worm creator and you know have the worm
  • You leave without knowing of the worm and connect to another wireless network with your infected iphone
  • Someone else that has openssh installed with default pass connects to same wireless network and get infected
  • The process keeps going and going..
