Update: MyWi 3.4.3 No Rock Cracked

Download:

Descrpition:
Now supports tethering on 3.1+ and all iPhones (including 2G/3G/3GS)! Create a WiFi HotSpot with a press of a finger! Wherever you are – you can connect your laptop or other mobile device to your iPhone easily! You can also use MyWi to enable default USB/Bluetooth Tethering on 3.1! This is the no rock extensions version of mywi so that means no installing rock which causes crashes if installed along with cydia and what not.
Credits: Thanks studguy1 over at xsellize for the crack.
Notes: Make sure and uninstall pdanet or mywi if already installed. If your also having problems with being asked to authenticate you can do the following
Run WinSCP, PuTTY trough it or use mobile terminal and log in as root and type in the flowing command:
/private/var/stash/Applications.TSJFm8/MyWi.app/licgen
- After downloading rename the deb to mywi.deb
- Copy it to var/mobile on your iphone and install using ifile or do the following
- Open Mobile terminal
- Type in su (press return)
- Type in alpine (press return)
- Type in dpkg -i mywi.deb (press return)
- Reboot or Respring and enjoy

So would this allow me to use my 3G connection and share it with say my friends iPod Touch? As I wouldn’t want to have to pay the extra tethering fee.

Yes it would just like a wifi connection

Will I have to pay for tethering or will my carrier not be able to tell if I’m sharing my 3G connection on the odd occasion?

Do you think I will have to pay for tethering if I only use a small amount of data?

Not sure what’s going on here, but when I installed OpenSSH via Cydia in order to ssh into my iPhone to run the commands from my computer, it reinstalled the RockApp as well. After following the instructions for install, MyWi then appeared under the RockApp again, but not on my home screen as an icon. Uninstalled Rock again, and it still doesn’t show up? I don’t get i?

I suggest not using ssh, use diskaid to ssh over usb.

I tried installing MyWi manually as described and from the iPhone spot repo in Cydia.
But, in any case, Cydia asks for RockApp extensions.
Then I tried to run ‘licgen’ but the file doesn’t exist on the MyWi.app folder.
What could be wrong? Or what may I miss?
Thanks,
Juan

Hm, I had previously had a trial of the Rock version, which complained about conflict with Mobilesubstrate, so I just got rid of it and Rock, installed this one from your repo (I might actually buy it…someday…if it works…), but now despite installing fine through Cydia and ostensibly not needing Rock, it complains about not finding Rock Extensions on startup.
Any thoughts? This sounds related to Juan’s problem.

i installed mywi thru the sinful repo with my iphone. now is there anything else i have to do with my computer to get it working.? cuz i dont see my ssid or the hotspot i create on my labtop when i try to find it.

YJust open the app and turn wifi tethering on. It should then start broadcasting the ssid and you just connect to it using your laptop.
