If a recent survey from market research firm Crowd Science is anything to go by, there’s dark times ahead for RIM, maker of the Blackberry smartphone. 40% of survey respondents said they plan to ditch their Blackberry handset for an iPhone when it’s time to upgrade. As if that wasn’t bad enough, another 32% of those surveyed said they’d be getting a Nexus One for their next smartphone instead of another Blackberry. Read more…

When Apple announced the video camera-equipped iPhone 3GS last June, original iPhone and iPhone 3G owners quickly lamented the lack of video recording in their handsets. While it had been possible to record video on either device using solutions developed for jailbroken phones, there was no suitable alternative for “law abiding” iPhone users. SpringBoard Rotator is a new tweak that will be released soon in Cydia. This tweak will enable SpringBoard to rotate according to the device’s orientation! It does not rotate only the icons, it rotates the whole user interface!

Currently it only works on iPhone 3Gs, and the name may change prior to release. We will keep you updated. Stay tuned…

Both the iPad WiFi and iPad 3G were revealed in the FCC system today; timed perfectly for the start of device pre-orders.

Unfortunately the photographs (both external and internal) and the user manual are all still under confidentiality.

Both units were tested for WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth and the iPad 3G model number A1337 adds in GSM 850/1900 and UMTS 850/1900. Read more…

• Copy it to var/mobile on your iphone and install using ifile or do the following
• Open MobileTerminal
• Type in su (press return)
• Type in alpine (press return)
• Type in dpkg -i xt.deb (press return)
• Respring or Reboot and enjoy
