Nexus One Live Wallpaper For iPhone
April 12, 2010 :: Posted by - SoSly :: Category - News
This has been out for a month or so and I must say it is very cool and eye catching. I recommend mixing and matching this wallpaper with darker themes, I guarantee you it will make it look a lot nicer. I also added the Google Nexus One Galaxy Live Wallpaper to the repo. You can install this and the Galaxy Wallpaper through TheSpot’s cydia source:
- Activate using winterboard

my co workers 3gs 3.1.2 16gb did the same thing last week on him when doing an update via cydia.. it just crashed on that screen – and when he restarted it would just boot loop, he then installed 3.1.3 on it.. and is no longer jailbroken…

How do I get it to show the correct weather?
April 12th, 2010 at 2:05 pm
You have to edit the rss html file in the theme folder and add your country zip code. If you don’t know how to do that let me know and ill do it for you.
April 12th, 2010 at 2:56 pm
I looked in the theme folder and didn’t see any rss folder.
April 12th, 2010 at 4:49 pm
Hi,
I just installed the wallpaper oon my 3G, in winterboard i can select to have the RSS feed or not, if i don’t select it is it still retrieving info from the internet or does it only become active when i select it in winterboard?
April 12th, 2010 at 4:53 pm
PS, can i get this wall paper to run on my lockscreen?
April 12th, 2010 at 5:36 pm
Richie Pt no it is not retrieving anything from the internet it is just running a script making those lines move acorss the screen. Now if you have the rss fed version activated yes it will use the internet.
-
@ J.R I mean to open up the Background.html file and you should see an rss url with weather info, you can tweak it from there.
-
it will then run smooth an any iphone if you use it as a regular lockscreen background.
@ Richie yes you can set it as your lockscreen wallpaper by doing this go into the theme folder and rename Wallpaper.html to LockBackground.html respring and enjoy

Thanks man!
Another question, but this one maybe a bit stupid, how do i change wallpaper.html to LockBackground.html? i use iFile and iPhone browser, which would be the easiest and where do i go to make these changes?
Sorry for the dumb questions bt if i don’t ask i’ll never learn!
April 12th, 2010 at 5:47 pm
PS. will this run as wallpaper aswell as lockscreen or is it just one or the other?
April 12th, 2010 at 5:52 pm
The CPU usage for this hack is 13%… So it will use a lot of power since it’s always running! Even if you are into an app!
April 12th, 2010 at 7:01 pm
Hey so sly, where exactly do I find that? I’m using ifile, can’t find it, neither with iphonebrowser
April 12th, 2010 at 7:04 pm
Richie you can use ifile and go to var/mobile/themes/themename and then just tap on the right arrow by the file named wallpaper.html and rename it to lockbackground.html then respring

April 13th, 2010 at 4:55 pm
I think u helped me with the wrong thing Sly, I wanted to know how to get the weather right for my city.
April 13th, 2010 at 10:32 pm
Yeah the weather thing i’ve been looking into it but I can’t figure it out, there are like two weather scripts in the sources folder inside the theme and i’ve messed around with them with no so luck.. Ill update you if I get it working.

Really cool but it is too expensive for system cpu…
My battery power ended after only 4 hours!!!
April 14th, 2010 at 10:21 am
Thats weird because it hardly drains any of my battery.
April 16th, 2010 at 3:26 pm
