A French 3D modeler called Jpog has admitted to making the iPhone 4G back cover images with 3DS Max, reveals MobileCrunch.

It’s likely he used Photoshop to add the grainy spy shot feel to the photos.

While the images have been proven fake many are hopeful that Apple will extend its aluminum design to the iPhone; which would give it a nice solid feel similar to the iPad.

While iPad shortages are causing delayed shipments on international orders elsewhere, Israel is yet to get the iPad too – but by choice. And the nation is effectively threatening anyone who attempts to purchase or obtain a US version of the device. What’s more, an Israeli who does so will have their tablet confiscated. Apple will stick with its June launch for a new iPhone this year, with the next-generation handset scheduled to be released in just a few months, according to one Canadian wireless provider.

According to the Regina Leader-Post, SaskTel, a Saskatchewan-based wireless provider, will offer the next-generation iPhone starting July 1. That will be after the company’s new handset launches in June, said Robert Watson, president and CEO of SaskTel. Read more…

Although you shouldn’t expect any release before the official iPhone OS 4.0 will be pushed to the masses, DarkMalloc ( remember him? ) posted a new video showing a jailbroken iPhone 3G running OS 4.0 beta 1. Yeah, nothing new so far. OS 4.0 was jailbroken and we all know that. The big surprise here is that this 3G has multitasking enabled. Read more…

This will come as a disappointment to our international readers, but it seems that Apple has pushed the international iPad release back an entire month.

The iPad’s UK page used to say “Coming late April.” Today that was changed to “Coming late May.” The good news is that Apple has set a pre-order date of May 10th in the UK, Canada, France, Australia and Germany.

In a press release today, Apple said that the iPad’s US popularity is to blame for the lag: “Demand is far higher than we predicted and will likely continue to exceed our supply over the next several weeks as more people see and touch an iPad.” Apple also said they sold more than half a million iPads in the first week.
