Why Rock May Not Be Included In Future Jailbreaks
Some of you might be wondering why the new jailbreak “Spirit” did not install the Rock App., Or why Appsidy did not work after the Cydia update. Well let me share with you what I know.
The first thing you should know is that Appsidy, Rock Your Phone (Rock App), IntelliBorn are all the same people. Yup thats right. Last year when Appsidy first hit the scene, I made a blog post about it and the man himself Saurik, actually commented on the blog post saying:
“(For the record, Appsidy == Rock == IntelliBorn: they are all the same people operating under different names.)” – Saurik
Secondly, Most trusted Devs DO NOT support these guys (Rock, Appsidy), Going as for as stating it causes developers nightmares to support their broken programs, which exists only to make them money, and not the community! Also that the new Appsidy plugin modifies Cydia and will cause major issues when Cydia is updated, We already seen issues that the Rock App brings.
Of course its up to you what you install on your i-Devices, but think about this.. “Without Saurik (Cydia), Rock wouldn’t be able to exist. Saurik does way, way more than u think. Faster is at the expense of working right…” – Chpwn
Don’t be surprised if more future jailbreak or Cydia updates do not include Rock, or Appsidy support. Make sure you tell Devs or Theme makers to switch to Cydia Store to guarantee that you will always be able to reinstall your purchase safely.
