Yankee Stadium Bans iPad

Here’s a strange one: Apple’s iPad has been banned from the world-famous Yankee Stadium.
A report claims local team the New York Yankees (aka, Bronx Bombers) have decided to ban the product from the stadium, calling it a “security and safety issue”.
MLB Advanced Media CEO Bob Bowman told Business Insider the Yankees decided on the ban because they, “didn’t want fans to get hurt by [becoming] distracted and getting hit in the face with a ball.”
Despite the ban, some iPads are getting through, IntoMobile notes. “If you’ve got a loose-fitting jacket or some monstrous pockets on your blue jeans, you might be able to smuggle the tablet inside,” the report informs.
Interestingly, Yankee Stadium is among the most tech-savvy parks in the majors – players even have computer screens in their lockers, allegedly.
