Restaurant Using iPad As Menu

Apple’s iPad’s off to a magical start in Australia, where diners at a top North Sydney restaurant can now order their meals using Apple’s device.

Global Mundo Tapas in the North Sydney Rydges Hotel yesterday introduced a custom-made iPad application which allows customers to browse the virtual pages of the menu with a sweep of their finger.

Diners can take a look at pictures of what is on offer and read detailed notes about the dish before putting the order together and sending it to the kitchens via WiFi.

The iPad app will even suggest the best wines to accompany your meal….it even finds out if you want your meat medium, rare or well done.

This iPad revolution is probably pretty bad news for waiters and waitresses chasing tips, however.

Is the ipad going to bring the food back to you via wifi………? There’s still need for a waitress.

The “menus” will be greasy at the end of the day!!!
