Just a reminder that you can easily check your AT&T upgrade eligibility by dialing *639# from your handset.
AT&T will send you back a text detailing your eligibility situation

I got back “As a valued customer, we can offer you an upgrade with a new 2-yr commitment and an $18 upgrade fee.”
What exactly does that mean?

It means what it says….you’re eligible to upgrade, and they’re going to charge you the upgrade fee of $18.
I got the same message….I’ll be placing my preorder on the 15th!

This is what mine says are you sure you read it correctly??

I think it means exactly what it says. You can get the 16gb for 199$ or the 32gb for 299$ and AT&T will charge an additional 18$ for the upgrade as a fee. I got the same text message. I will be placing my order on the 15th as well.
I’m happy this go round because last year they charged me 499$
