Cydia: USB Drive Turns Your iPhone Into A Hard Drive

Operation is very simple, in fact, after you install the application, just open the program and decide between three options:

  • Drive + iTunes, that will enable the iPhone as a hard drive from the PC / Mac or from iTunes;
  • Default: the iPhone will be detected only on iTunes;
  • Drive Only: the iPhone will be detected only as a USB mass storage.

To ensure that the iPhone is detected as a hard disk, you must create a virtual disk. Simply click on “Create Disk …” and then choose the name and size to associate with the virtual disk. The directory of the virtual disk will be located in / var / Volumes /.

Caution: We recommend not installing this application on iPhone 3GS. Being a beta software might cause problems and prevent the recognition in bringing iTunes to restore firmware, as you know the iphone 3g is a luxury that not everyone can afford to mess up as some people don’t have ecid’s saved.

You can download USB Drive from this repository: http:// apt.dmytro.me. Beta 2 expires on 1 November.

The name, sn0wybreeze, draws much Geohot issued by the tool and the Dev-Team, which allows you to jailbreak the phone in the iPhone 3G and 3GS or it may be just an alternative to these.

October 03, 2009 :: Posted by - SoSly :: Category - News

If you’re the kind of person who complains in the comments whenever we post a useless app, then just move right on from this weekend post (or go check out Paradise Monkeys, it actually looks like a good one). But as weird and pointless as this app may be, we have to give the folks behind this iLickIt game credit — they really took the multitouch screen to a place it probably shouldn’t go. The idea is that you get a plate of food from Grandma, and then you have to lick it clean… by actually licking your iPhone or iPod touch. No thanks. Read more…

Man Threatens To Shoot iPhone At Genius Bar

October 02, 2009 :: Posted by - SoSly :: Category - News

There’s a story on ifoAppleStore today about one Mr. Donald Goodrich, who was having trouble with his iPhone. As many customers have done, Mr. Goodrich brought his iPhone to his local Genius Bar in Cincinnati, OH. While talking with an Apple Store employee, he allegedly said, “I’m so mad, I could pop a 9mm at it,” meaning the iPhone.

According to police, he then said, “I’ll do it right now! Look!” and pulled his shirt aside to show the employee the handgun he was carrying. While that employee escorted him to the Genius Bar (clearly not the right place for Mr. Goodrich), another called police Read more…

Beginning in November, the Dual Electronics Corporation will sell a new product for the iPod Touch that incorporates a GPS receiver, two speakers for the audio and the ability to recharge the battery through the cigarette lighter.
This will allow you to use your iPod as a navigator on conditions that the major producers decide to include this compatibility. The price is still unknown but judging that the TomTom Car Kit is quite expensive, this product will aslo be in the high price range.
