If you hadn’t heard yet, Geo Hot became a little disturbed when chronic posted the exploit he is going to use to to make a new jailbreak program that will jailbreak them all on their wiki. He even threatened to stop making his program but in the end Chronic and George both explained their opinions and what was going on and below is what he had to say about it.

Verizon has teamed with Google to bring two Android-powered phones and the Google Voice service to its network, in an effort to fight off the iPhone and its exclusive agreement with AT&T.

Together, the two companies plan to create, market and distribute both products and services featuring Android-powered phones on the Verizon Wireless network. The posting of the usb_control_msg(0×21, 2) Exploit by Chronic Dev to the iPhoneWiki caused a little bit of upset today with GeoHot threatening to stop work on the exploit.

AT&T may be close to making an announcement that it will support Skype and Google Voice on all its handsets, reports the Washington Post.

One source close to the thinking of AT&T executives said the company has been deliberating the decision for weeks and that top executives have said they were close to accepting voice over Internet services on all AT&T phones, including the iPhone. The source spoke on the condition of anonymity because a decision hadn’t been officially announced. Skype currently operates on the iPhone through WiFi access, but not on AT&T’s 3G mobile network.

Verizon has launched an offensive against AT&T and Apple in their latest video ad.

The ad mocks the iPhone “There’s an app for that” ads with a slogan of their own, “There’s a map for that”.

MacDailyNews notes that, what Verizon offers is a 3G network that’s larger, but slower; V-Cast videos (yuck); and crappy app-less phones that don’t measure up to iPhone, so users barely use them to tax Verizon’s network.
