The need For Multiple ipa Delivery

App Store clutter remains an ongoing issue. In addition to “business card” applications that offer little or no functionality beyond a simple web page[1], there are lite editions, demo editions, full editions, and even in the case of Tweetie 2, completely new applications providing upgraded functionality.

Each of those applications must be registered with a unique app identifier, each one takes up a separate slot when installed on your iPhone’s home screen, each application occupies a separate App Store listing, complete with its own screen shots, marketing material, reviews, and so forth. Since many of us spend more time texting on our iPhones than we spend actually having conversations on them, perhaps there is a sizable audience of iPhone owners who will find value in the new TigerText application.

The word “Tiger,” of course, is likely invoked here as a tongue-in-cheek reference to the golf pro recently embarrassed before a global audience for his private-turned-public marital infidelities.

Apple Bringing Sexy Back, Making “Explicit” Category on App Store?

February 24, 2010 :: Posted by - SoSly :: Category - News

Mixed reports have emerged that Apple may have created a new “Explicit” category for app submissions using iTunes Connect. Last week, Apple removed as many as 5,000 titles from the App Store that it determined were inappropriate for some users. The dragnet caught some apps but left others – like Playboy and the Sports Illustrated swimsuit app – still available for download. Some devs, however, have said that the new category does not appear on their iTunes submission screens.
