Comcast: Use Your iPad As A Huge Remote

Here’s an interesting demo video from Comcast that features an iPad as a remote control with a few extras. In the demo, Comcast’s Brian Roberts shows how to use the app to search for programming (both TV and On Demand), change channels and even program the Comcast DVR. Pretty neat.

Apple Sales 50,000 Ipads In 2 hours

The introduction of the iPad Friday morning sold an estimated 50,000 units in two hours, and also bumped Apple’s “hobby,” the Apple TV, from the front page of its online store. Apple is Pitching iTunes TV for $30/Month to Networks

Apple has been pitching the idea of iTunes TV for $30/month to television networks for the past few weeks, according to a MediaMemo by Peter Kafka.

The service would obviously work with the Apple TV but would not be tied to it. Instead it would work through iTunes. Since Apple already has a huge install base for the iTunes software it would allow for quick and easy market penetration.
