We’ve had coverage of other iPhone edibles before, in particular the many cakes that have been created since the iPhone first came to life in 2007.

Now, via Cult of Mac comes word of iPhone cookies from several bakeries around the globe. The first, as seen in the photo at right, is from the Green Gables Bakery in Japan. It has a “camera” indent on the back, a nicely framed display on the front side, and icing app icons and markings all around. These cookies appear to be made of gingerbread, which should be enough to make you begin drooling. Read more…

AT&T Completes Nationwide 7.2 HSPA 3G Upgrade

AT&T has completed the software upgrade that prepares the 3G Network for 7.2 speeds. Once additional backhaul is deployed throughout 2010 and 2011, users should notice a speed increase. The backhaul addition has already begun in Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, and Miami. Remember, only the iPhone 3GS supports 7.2 speeds, the iPhone 3G does not.

AT&T Website Stops Selling iPhones In New York City?

What kind of Christmas present is this? The Consumerist is reporting that AT&T has stopped selling the iPhone in the New York metropolitan area, at least via the company’s website, due to high data congestion (or possibly due to online fraud). Update: While Consumerist’s post still cites ‘network congestion’ as the reason for the NYC sales hold, we’ve been told by other customer service reps that the real reason is a spike in fraudulent purchases; other sites have gotten the same story.

Premier Basketball League

The Premier Basketball League announced late last week that it is going to be a lot easier to follow the stars of your favorite PBL team next year. For those of you fortunate enough to have Apple’s iPhone, you can now download the official PBL App from the App Store.

“Our league has taken some big steps in the off season, and we think the iPhone application is among the biggest advances we’ve made,” said CEO Tom Doyle.  “Access to our teams, stats and players has now been made even more available thanks to the iPhone app.”
