Jailbreak: How To Get Your iPhone 4 SHSH Blobs

For those of you with shiny new iphone 4′s this is an important step if your wanting to jaibreak. SHSH blobs are signatures for your iphone that allow you to restore to a certain firmware. When Apple releases a new firmware it stops issuing your signature to restore to that old firmware and only issues the newer firmwares signature so you can only restore to the newer non jailbroken firmware. Having these shsh blobs will allow you to restore to old firmwares, even if Apple isn’t signing it anymore. Read more…

Police Open Investigation On Lost iPhone 4G Prototype

Silicon Valley police have opened an investigation into how Gizmodo came into possession of the iPhone 4G prototype, a law enforcement official told CNET on Friday.

Apple has spoken to local police about the incident and the investigation is believed to be headed by a computer crime task force led by the Santa Clara County district attorney’s office, the source said. Read more…

Burglars Stealing From LA Apple Store Customers

I better be careful next time I walk out of my Apple Store here in Santa Monica — apparently burglars are targeting Apple Store customers here in the Los Angeles area. Over 100 customers have apparently been targeted after leaving the store and keeping a computer or other purchase in their car. The thieves wait for customers to walk away from Apple Store bags in their car, either at home or at another store, and then they break in and take them. For some reason, no computers have yet been returned, either, which makes cops think that they’re possibly being “shipped out of the country or fenced right away.” But of course that would require an organized ring, and police aren’t even sure these are all related yet.
