In our previous post, we told you about ‘Error 1015 fixer‘ , a simple tool that can fix your 1015 error with one click . This kind of error usually occur when trying to restore to custom firmwares or downgrading existing firmwares. Now, we got another tool for you, which is both for Mac and Windows and it is called ‘RecBoot’.

The tool is dead simple, and everybody can use it. It has two buttons ‘Enter Recovery Mode’ and ‘Exit Recovery Mode’ , and you don’t have to be a genius to know which one to click.

For those of you with shiny new iphone 4′s this is an important step if your wanting to jaibreak. SHSH blobs are signatures for your iphone that allow you to restore to a certain firmware. When Apple releases a new firmware it stops issuing your signature to restore to that old firmware and only issues the newer firmwares signature so you can only restore to the newer non jailbroken firmware. Having these shsh blobs will allow you to restore to old firmwares, even if Apple isn’t signing it anymore. Read more…

A lot of users have been asking for custom 4.0 firmwares for their i-devices. All of the custom firmwares below are basic firmwares with no custom logos, default partitions, and the default cydia package installed. The custom firmwares were made using the iPhone Dev Teams Updated Pwnagetool 4.0.1 which fixes iBooks problem.

FAQ:

• You can only use these firmwares on an iPhone 3GS old bootrom. If you have an iphone 3gs that has a serial number XX938XXXXXX or higher it’s a new bootrom, if its XX937XXXXXX or less you can use one of the firmwares above.
• It is recommended that you be on firmware 3.1.2 and jailbroken with blackra1n or redns0w. That way you can just put your iphone in recovery mode and restore like normal.
• If you’ve never jailbroken your iphone 3gs but have a compatible one, put your iphone in dfu mode (How To HERE) and then restore using one of the firmwares from above.
