Fix: Wi-Fi Sync Breaks i-Device Restores

A few days ago, Wi-Fi Sync for our iDevices was made available and life has been pretty sweet ever since.  As you might know, the wireless syncing capabilities comes as a combo: iDevice app and Mac client ( Windows coming soon ) . The problem is that, the Mac client will cause iTunes to go about 80% ( during a restore ) and then just hang.

There is an easy fix for this. Remove the Mac client, restore your iDevice and then re-install the client. Or you can do everything via Xcode, and you won’t have to remove the client…

There are some players who can sync wireless with your computer like “Zune”, but Apple probably thought this wasn’t necessary for the iDevice users.
