A new configuration page for AT&T Internet Tethering has been spotted in the latest iPhone OS 4.0 beta, according to MacRumors.

The page alerts AT&T customers that in order to set up internet tethering, you need to contact AT&T at 611 or visit AT&T’s website. The new message seems to indicate that AT&T may finally be ready to deliver tethering to U.S. customers.

This could be great news for US customers who have been waiting for tethering capabilities since Apple announced the feature last year.

It seems the owner of the Vietnam prototype iPhone 4G has succeeded in getting iPhone OS 4.0 running on the device, according to a new photo obtained by Engadget.

So far we have yet to see more pics of the operating system; however, if true, the prototype could reveal more information as new betas of OS 4.0 get seeded to developers.

Also, a lot more photos have been taken of the device.

Apparently, GeoHot is working on a new tool, called Limera1n. There is no word on “the streets” about the tool, so we don’t know for sure what is this all about. It could be a new jailbreaking/unlocking tool for 3.1.3 , but we tend to think that it will run on OS 4.0 and it will include the iPad as well. RC1 of the tool might be released right after the iPad 3G  launch, followed by RC2, RC3 which will include iPhone 4G ( just a presumption ). That’s all we know at the moment. Although you shouldn’t expect any release before the official iPhone OS 4.0 will be pushed to the masses, DarkMalloc ( remember him? ) posted a new video showing a jailbroken iPhone 3G running OS 4.0 beta 1. Yeah, nothing new so far. OS 4.0 was jailbroken and we all know that. The big surprise here is that this 3G has multitasking enabled. Read more…

Geohot has updated his super simple jailbreaking tool called blackra1n to work with iPhone OS 4.0 . Although the official 4.0 Software hasn’t been released by Apple, George is just proving to people that he is still on top of his game. This updated version of Blackra1n has not been released and Geohot probably won’t release it until the iPad 3G version hits the shelves or maybe even late summer when the official OS 4.0 is released.

What you see in the video is vnc running on an iphone running OS 4.0 meaning that it has been jailbroken. There are two things happening here, either the dev team’s spirit jailbreak works with 4.0 or they have more tricks up their sleeve.
