ARM Cortex A9 Demo Likely To Power iSlate & Future iPhones

As CES kicks off, one technology we’ve been hoping to hear more about is the status of the ARM Cortex A9 processor. Apple’s iPhone as well as many of its competitors including the just released Nexus One currently utilize ARM processors based on the Cortex A8 design. The Cortex A9 represents the next generation which supports multi-core designs. The Cortex A9 multi-core processors are expected to scale beyond 2 GHz while drawing less than 0.25 W of power per CPU.

iPhone Earns #1 In J.D. Power & Associates Business Satisfaction Ratings

Apple has taken the lead in both the personal and business categories of J.D. Power and Associates’ latest mobile phone satisfaction study. The firm announced its second set of study results for 2009 on Thursday, noting that satisfaction among all phone owners has gone up since just six months ago. Apple in particular has managed to come out even further ahead, even in a category where it is not typically considered to be a frontrunner. Read more…
