Apple Ends No Cash Policy Purchasing iPad

Apple has ended their no cash policy after a woman on fixed income was prevented from buying an iPad. The woman had saved up for the device for weeks but when she went to the Apple Store she was turned away.

“It took quite a long time for me to just save up this small amount of money to go down and purchase one,” she said. “I had my cash in the backpack and I went up proudly to the counter and told them, ‘I would like to purchase an iPad.’” Read more…

Apple May Sell $1 TV Shows for iPad Launch?

According to a story posted by the Financial Times on Wednesday, Apple may be in talks with studios to bring $1 TV shows to iTunes, as part of the official iPad launch. Apparently this will be a test to model for the company to see whether cheaply-priced content will spur sales. Given yesterday’s news about declining iTunes music growth due to higher prices, I’m betting it will. Read more…
