Brice Milliorn has released My Pocket Mistress 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch devices. No one video wonder here. Unlike similar and many other applications that only offer one video or a handful of photos, My Pocket Mistress moves, she’s interactive, and most importantly she’s real. Yes she’s real! She’s not some 3D rendered mannequin. Seriously, why would you want to buy an application of a dancing mannequin?

She’s Hot, Really Hot
And yes that’s the most important feature of them all!

She’s Animated and Interactive
She engages with you and playfully shows you her assets, just like you are getting your own private showing. Choose from the 36 audio phrases and then she can actually speak to you; or you can just have peace and quite with no conversations or cuddling needed!

Cydia App: Resupported Enables iPhone Video On Unsupported Cables

January 08, 2010 :: Posted by - SoSly :: Category - News

Resupported allows you to display iPhone video out using unsupported video cables.

—–
There are plenty of accessories on the market that allow you to play video out with iPods, but when plugged into the iPhone, display “This accessory is unsupported by iPhone”, and refuse to play video out. Or at least used to.

Resupported is a safe and cheap alternative to paying the Apple tax. It enables video out through many unsupported AV cables and devices, and it does not modify system files!
—–

Here’s a simple check to see if your cord is likely to be supported:
-Does it plug into the dock connector?
-Will audio play through it when connected to your device?
-Does it have a video output or a screen?

Resupported is available from the Cydia Store for $1.99

AT&T Says iPhone Usage Based Pricing is Inevitable

December 09, 2009 :: Posted by - SoSly :: Category - News

AT&T told investors at a USB conference in New York that it will give high bandwidth users incentives to “reduce or modify their usage”.

Amidst poor public perception due to a network issues, AT&T has decided put iPhone users who watch video on tighter leashes, according to an Associated Press report.

AT&T head of consumer services, Ralph de la Vega declined to comment on when these “incentives” would happen but said that usage-based pricing for data is inevitable.

“We need to educate the customer … We’ve got to get them to understand what represents a megabyte of data,” de la Vega said. “We’re improving all our systems to let consumers get real-time information on their data usage.”

De la Vega says three percent of “smart” phone users are consuming 40 percent of the network capacity with a majority of the high-bandwidth activity being video and audio streaming.

I can’t help but think announcements like these worsen the public perception of AT&T. The last thing unhappy customers want to hear is that if they watch video or use Skype they will be paying more.

“We are focused on phone-to-phone, not uploading to the Web,” Pointy Head developer Brian Meehan explained to Ars. “Who really cares about fleeting moments other than friends and family seeing it as it happens? With Knocking people share what they are doing right now. Our testers have referred to knocking as a ‘visual tweet,’” he said.

Apple Looking To Improve Visual Quality of Streaming Video

October 16, 2009 :: Posted by - SoSly :: Category - News

Apple has investigated a method to make imperfections in compressed video files less visible to the human eye, a new patent application revealed this week shows.

The described technology would not do away with compression, which is necessary given bandwidth restrictions. Instead, it details a new technology that would mask artifacting that often appears when video files are compressed to reduce their file size.

“Disadvantageously, most video compression standards use lossy data compression techniques in which data determined by a particular compression algorithm to be of lesser importance to the overall content, but which is nonetheless discernible and objectionable to Read more…
