Apple will stick with its June launch for a new iPhone this year, with the next-generation handset scheduled to be released in just a few months, according to one Canadian wireless provider.

According to the Regina Leader-Post, SaskTel, a Saskatchewan-based wireless provider, will offer the next-generation iPhone starting July 1. That will be after the company’s new handset launches in June, said Robert Watson, president and CEO of SaskTel. Read more…

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple is working on a new iPhone to debut in the summer and a second model for Verizon Wireless.

The people briefed on the matter said one of the new iPhones is being manufactured by Taiwanese contract manufacturer Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., which produced Apple’s previous iPhones. Read more…

Apple is still negotiating with media companies for a price cut on TV show downloads for the iPad, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Apple is expected to announce Verizon Wireless a carrier for its upcoming tablet and the end of AT&T’s iPhone exclusivity, according to the NYPost.

Apple is expected to name Verizon Wireless as one of its carriers with its anticipated unveiling of a new tablet device on Wednesday, sources told The Post. That means Apple head Steve Jobs will probably introduce a Verizon iPhone, ending AT&T’s exclusive hold on the hot smartphone.

Reiterating previous reports, MacRumors has heard that the Apple Tablet will indeed have a front facing camera.

Despite conflicting reports, we have reason to believe that the upcoming Apple Tablet will indeed carry a front facing video camera as recently described in the Wall Street Journal, “This person said Apple has experimented with the ability … for the gadget to automatically recognize individuals via a built-in camera.”
