Watch An iPhone Dev Make An App In One Week

It sounds like the premise for a new reality show — a developer writes an iPhone app in one week while the world watches.

That’s exactly what Sahil Lavingia is planning to do starting on Sunday, February 7th. Lavingia is the developer behind Color Stream and the Twizzle Twitter client [iTunes Links], and he’ll be posting updates to keep us all apprised of his progress at his One Week App blog.

On the blog, Lavingia will be posting screenshots of his coding, timelapse movies (sorry, no streaming video of Lavingia at work), and other notes about his work as he moves forward. Read more…

Is Apple Really Going For iPad Trademark??

Even though the WSJ pretty much broke the story on next week’s tablet announcement (when the mainstream media prints something as true, it’s true, right?), that hasn’t kept the crazy tablet rumors from coming in. Earlier in the week, MacRumors and the no-comment-on-the-name JesusTablet.com delivered more evidence that Apple is fighting for the “iPad” trademark. While it’s already nailed down the name elsewhere, in the US, Fujitsu actually originally applied for the moniker, though Apple has made the case to the FTC to pick it up since Fujitsu has “abandoned” it and no one else has used it. iPhone 4G Rumors Roundup

After last week’s roundup visual Tablet, the Frenchies over at Nowhere Else put together an iPhone 4G equivalent. While I’m not sold on their likeliness evaluations, it’s definitely a nice overview of all the crazy ideas bloggers have came up with.
