FOXNews is reporting that the Apple Event on January 27th will focus on three projects: the Tablet, iPhone OS 4.0, and iLife 2010.

The “Come see our latest creation” event was just announced and takes place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco at 10AM Pacific Time.

I spoke to a source at Apple this morning, before the invite hit my inbox, who said the event would likely focus on three projects: The tablet device, iPhone 4, and a new round of iLife 2010 software. While we won’t see new iPhone hardware just yet, we will see the next-generation software.

While you early wait in anticipation you can check out some of the latest tablet rumors here

Clues on Apple’s forthcoming tablet continue to surface as the device is expected to debut this month, with a new report referring to the device as an “iPhone on steroids.”

Citing a close contact within Apple, Boy Genius Report on Wednesday issued a report with alleged new details and specifics on Apple’s 10-inch touchscreen device. The source said the device has an internal model number of K48AP and sports an “incredibly fast” ARM-based processor.

What kind of ARM chip remains unknown, though many have speculated that the reference Cortex-A9 design would be a likely candidate for any new hardware. However, one analyst recently claimed that the device would sport a Cortex-A8-based chip with a speed of about 1GHz. Read more…

Could We See New Apple Product On January 27th?

January 04, 2010 :: Posted by - SoSly :: Category - News

All Things D claims that Apple’s rumored media event will actually take place on Wednesday, January 27th rather than the 26th as originally rumored.

Sources in a position to know tell me Apple (AAPL) is indeed planning a media event later this month at which it will announce a major new product. The gathering is to be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, a space Apple often uses for media events like these. According to other sources, it will occur on Wednesday Jan. 27, not Tuesday Jan. 26, as had been rumored.

Apple is, of course, rumored to be launching a new Tablet that may be called the iSlate.
