The dev team has officially updated their ultrasn0w unlock to support the iPhone 4. Below is what they had to say about it on their blog:
grow, grow ultrasn0w!We’re happy to tell you that our ultrasn0w carrier unlock now supports the iPhone4!
Version 1.0-1 of ultrasn0w works for:
- iPhone4 baseband 01.59
- 3G/3GS basebands 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01 and 05.13.04
(If ultrasn0w doesn’t show when you search Cydia, add the repo: repo666.ultrasn0w.com)
For Full Unlock Instructions
To use this jailbreak you must be jailbroken so here is a quick how to unlock your iPhone 4 along with any other iphone on 4.0.1 firmware or below:
- If not jailbroken go to jailbreakme.com and slide to jailbreak, if you are jailbroken skip step
- After jailbreaking you will see an icon named cydia on your iphone springboard open it
- After letting it load tap on search on the bottom right and search ultrasn0w (0 is a number)
- Install and reboot, your iphone is now unlocked just pop any other sim and enjoy.
- Thank the dev team for all the hard work and follow them on twitter

Note: It takes time for the phone to read the sim so wait about 30 secs for it to pick up signal. Also 3G is not supported on T-Mobile USA so be sure to disable 3G in the network settings of your iPhone if using tmobile.
