Cydia: Synchronicity Lets You Use i-Device While Syncing
Synchronicity is a great tweak that we’ve all been waiting for. Are you tired of syncing your iphone with itunes and not being able to use it since you have to wait for it to finish??
Fret no more Synchronicity is here, this cool tweak lets you use your iphone even while syncing with itunes. No more oops i forgot im syncing and canceling it because you want to use your phone or answer that call.
You can purchase Synchronicity from cydia for $2.00. I do warn you to not open your ipod app while using this tweak and syncing your i-device because it may corrupt your music library and we all hate restoring.
Synchronicity Description:
Requires iOS v4.0 or higher.
Use your device while it syncs with iTunes!
Synchronicity gives you the option to use your device during an iTunes sync. Instead of being stuck at the lock screen while you transfer new content, you can unlock, run apps, make calls, etc. You can do whatever you want, except run the Music app, which is disabled during syncs to prevent data corruption.
Synchronicity works on any device with firmware 4.0 or 4.0.1.
Though overall performance is virtually unaffected, you may notice slight lag in certain resource/CPU-intensive operations.

as neat as this is, im gonna ask a question. when is this useful? i dont mean to sound negative, but if youre syncing, why would you need to use you iphone/touch? you're already using a computer, so using safari or an app isnt as useful. i guess if you wanna make a call. which is the whole purpose of a phone.

Yeah makes sense angel, sometimes i forget that im syncing and just unlock to send a txt or something.. Anyways checking up on the pirate screen don't worry..

I can see this being useful at times. I usually sync my phone multiple albums at a time so it takes a while to sync. When i do it i like to use wifi-sync and plug my phone in bseide my bed. Itd be nice to do things on my phone while im syncing.

Die Synchronisation wird quasi in den Hintergrund verlagert und man kann munter weiter sein Gerät benutzen, auch wenn man einige Verzögerungen in Kauf nehmen muss. Trotzdem sollte man selbst entscheiden, ob so eine App wirklich sinnvoll ist. Ach ja, noch ein Hinweis: iOS 4 ist nötig, damit die App läuft – also kein iPad-Support derzeit. This is really usefull when you get a phone call or have to reply to a text, without stopping the syncing.
